I know I'm comparing Israel and Marley too much but I do see the similarily. Step 1: Attack and Oppress people for ulterior motives by using the excuse that they're a threat and cover it up Step 2: Since you know they ain't pussy, you know they gonna attack back Step 3: When they attack back, act like Step 1 didn't happen and you're the one who's the victim Step 4: Get everyone on your side and ethnically cleanse them I'm not justifying the attack done by the other party, I'm just assessing it and viewing the bigger picture

i actually think that this was one of the only times where Armins talk no jutsu would work. Think about it, all the outside world has known is not Eldians ravaging their lands but Marleyians waging war and taking land, even the leaders in attendance have just lost erritory to these guys. Erens crew could have easily taken the stage and written the record straight. Even the Tybur family admitted that the history was changed in favor of the marleyians. Outright stating that they are lying would make the Eldians look good. and if anything if the Marleyians retaliated in that moment they would be the bad guys. but instead We go full retard scorched earth and commit war crimes. They were in the country and had intel they could have changed their plans. but instead Eren wanted to aura farm on reiner lol
