I just realized people don't or can't understand what others can go through. People saying Subaru is ass can't fathom even an ounce of what he goes through in this anime, imagine you keep dying, keep feeling the pain, can't tell anyone, watch everyone you love die, over and over, and you still think Subaru is ass? An average person would go insane in the first episode but Subaru follows through and doesn't give up. I will not tolerate Subaru slander, he is a PEAK mc, and this is a GOATED anime.

you really cant blame people for hating subaru but it also really makes sense that he's like this. he's been a shut-in for god knows how long until hes suddenly plopped into here, and now all of a sudden he has to re-learn decent social skill and also learn the politics of ANOTHER WORLD and actively engage with them? yeah if it was any of us in his shoes it would be over from the start buddy

why dont yall understand that subarus like that because hes meant to be. hes is meant to struggle and fall. thats how character development works, we see him now as a fool, some dumbass who should make better decisions but he has to fall to stand back up. thats his virtue, his tenacity. its meant to be uncomfortable, gut wrenching, cringe worthy. because thats natsuki subaru at his lowest, a subaru who only we can see. others can't see that because of rbd, which makes it so we have to look deeper into his character to understand him. (sorry for essay)

I feel like most animes have op mc's or they have some op ability which makes them special so, i think this is a nice change. Embracing the characters round him rather than focusing solely on him. It is very frustrating tho
