Nah, i'll say it. This episode sucked, this plot sucks. This feels like such a cop out, it's literal regression of a character. Why did the creator write in the examiner not letting everyone proceed if they all don't beat him individually, and them make that character as strong as Reinhart??? NO ONE HERE IS THAT STRONG! Emilia literally only won because Rein wasn't taking it seriously. People are so caught up in the "aura monster" meme, they're completely overlooking how (seemingly) none of it is relevant to the plot. If he doesn't get his memories back it will unironically ruin the show for me.

What an amazing first episode for this anime. I love the concept of an amnesiac protagonist slowly getting his memories back. From the looks of it, our MC Subaru did a lot of tuff shit back in the day before losing his memories. Also, he seems to have a harem of girls. I don't really like harem animes, but it's cool if he relearns everyone's backstory kinda like a game. The gore and stuff so far is really amazing. I didn't think I would find an anime that didn't pull any punches when it came to showing disturbing content. So far, it is 8/10. Hopefully the next episode explores the lore of the show.

What an episode. Genuinely a 1000/10 for me. First off, the disbelief in Ram's face and later refusal to trust him had me distraught. Then Julius, God damn. The only person who remembers him as an actual person has now forgotten him. I can't even imagine what Subaru and Julius are going through. Reid is a bitch. (I'll always shit on him when I see him in an episode) Onto the good part, who the hell is killing Subaru? Rem and Julius are out for me personally because Julius hold him in high regard while Rem....is Rem. Emilia seems like too much of a good person to even think about killing Subaru. And as much as Ram tries to not show it, she trusts in Subaru absolutely and sees him as a close person. The only ones left are Meili, Shaula and Eridna. I can think of reasons for all of them but if I include them here it will make the comment too long. I'll make another comment with the reasons if someone wants it. It is extremely sad that the normal teenager action of trying to be lazy and escape chores led to him never saying goodbye to his mom. Now that it was expanded on, it breaks my fucking heart. Finally, onto the main woman of the show, Satella. Why did she appear? Because he insinuated that he's gonna come back? It also sucks how everyone began to lose trust in him except Emilia and Beatrice (those are the goats) Finally, Shaula. She wasn't lying when she said she'll turn into a murder machine. Expecting a new death right when the next ep starts.
