What a terrible ending. So much of the show was focused around Will finally being with Elfie, that is why he went through all the suffering, all the abuse, even after all that he saved the city. This is unnecessarily disappointing and an awful plot development. If they don't get together until the end of the anime, someone tell me now so I can just drop this. S3 has to be better or I'm not going to continue to watch it

My hunch about Will joining Zeo's Lightning Faction actually came true. I honestly thought the fight would end in a draw and the final decision would be left to Will. I could already picture him saying, "Sorry, Elfie. I know we promised to watch the sunset together, but the way I am now, I couldn't even protect you from getting hurt. I still have to get stronger so I can truly stand beside you." That's why I thought he'd choose Zeo. Instead, we got 300 (and 299 draws) straight rounds of rock-paper-scissors 💀. I genuinely did not see that coming. The probability of that happening has to be insane. Shoutout to the absolute madlad in the comments who actually calculated it 😂 I also have a feeling the author is setting up some kind of love triangle. There's no way they're putting this much focus on Colette's feelings for Will for nothing. She has always been there for him since their academy days. I have no idea what the author is cooking, but if it ever comes down to choosing between Elfie and Colette, I'm sorry, Colette... I'm still rooting for Elfie. As for the season itself, I had a great time with it. It wasn't perfect, but it kept me invested every single week. Watching Sion go from someone who couldn't stand Will to becoming a genuine rival and someone who trusts him was one of my favorite parts. Julius also grew on me a lot more than I expected. Overall, a solid 8/10 season for me. The finale did a great job setting up what's next, and knowing Season 3 is already confirmed just makes me even more excited. Can't wait to see where Will's journey goes from here. On to the next one, lads; see you around.

Even though Elfie lost, I'm glad that she and Will still spent time together (hopefully they continue to do that!). Was anyone else hoping that Will would kiss Elfie? Even just a little smooch on the cheek would have sealed the deal. I wonder how Elfie would have reacted lol.
