I’ve seen many people angry about why Will wasn’t taken under Elfica’s blessing or made a clan member. But behind that, Fujino Ōmori is a mastermind in storytelling. If he had joined the Elfica clan from the start as a childhood love interest, the story would have ended too soon and become boring. I swear it’s not just me—everyone wishes Will and she would end up in the same clan soon. But if they were already in the same clan, the story wouldn’t feel as peak. He is trying hard to reach his goal, and that struggle is what makes it so good to watch.
